Fundraising event - Eden Centre Collection

Friday afternoon saw Stu (on his rollers!), Kyle and Louise set up camp in the Eden Centre to help raise much needed funds for the ride.  See below for some action shots of Stu on his bike (clocking up 90 miles in the process!)

Charity Quiz Night raises more funds

Thursday 19th July saw the Charity Quiz night take place at George's workplace, along with a raffle.  Both events helped to raise plenty more for the charity coffers.  The winning team 'Come on Eileen' got an amazing 103 marks out of a possible 110.  Thanks to Julie a FF who helped to organise the evening and the raffle,  Lou for giving up her evening and providing brilliant help, Becks for making sure that the questions weren't impossible to answer and that the music wasn't too obscure, and to everyone at George's work place for throwing themselves into the spirit of the evening.  

Paul raises masses at his football tournament

On Sunday 15th July Paul got together a great footie tournament to raise funds for the cycle.  He managed to raise over £400!  Photos to follow.

We had a great time at the Poker Night - making £430!  Thanks to Matt (landlord of The Harrow) for letting us take over the restaurant and for providing great food.  Well done to Nathan for winning the trophy, and to everyone else for joining in.  Here are some highlights of the evening:

Fundraising events are gathering pace

This Thursday will see the return of the Poker Night.  If you fancy having a game (it's all for charidy..) then come along to The Harrow, Whitefriars Street (off Fleet St) at 6.30 for a 7.00 start.  £10 to join (for this you get 1500 chips) and further buy-ins are £5 for 500 chips.  Click here for a link to the pub website and see below for a map showing the pub's location.
