The boys have safely made it to Pisa. A slightly cooler cycle today (although still over 35degrees!) and a much-needed stop-off at a beach. The boys cycled through a burning field (well, nearly) and got in trouble for using a shower on a private beach (until the owner realised why they were showering and was v interested in their progress!). A great evening meal in Pisa along with the requisite comedy photos holding the tower up. Tomorrow will be one of the toughest of the tour.... watch this space!

Here are a few highlights from Stu of day two:
Today was lovely, positively freezing by yesterday’s standards though as the temperature only hit 35 degrees!! Riding alongside the sea, stopping for a drink overlooking a nice beach, and some nice sweeping descents were just a few of the highlights of today. I truly cannot believe I felt so good, having felt so exhausted after yesterday’s ride. Bring on day 3, off into the first mountainous section!!
